We work with a machine-shading technique rather than blade work, so if you've been searching for microblading, powder, ombre and combo brows are the route we specialise in, and they tend to suit more skin types and heal to a softer finish. Powder brows give an even, make-up-style shade across the whole brow, while ombre brows fade from a lighter front to a more defined tail, so you can go as subtle or as polished as you like. Combo brows are our most natural-looking option, blending a softer, lighter front into more definition through the body with the same machine-shading method, which is the closest alternative we offer to the microblading look people arrive asking for.

Every brow starts with a proper consultation and patch test, a shape drawn on by hand that you approve before any pigment goes in, and a colour matched to your hair and skin tone. The result should suit your face and your routine, not a trend you'll want to grow out of next year.

Lip blush is a semi-permanent tint that brings back colour and definition without the weight of lipstick. It's popular with Clifton clients who want to wake up with an even, healthy lip colour, or who want to soften a slightly uneven lip line. We choose the shade with you, build the colour gradually, and keep it natural enough to wear on its own or under your usual lipstick. As with brows, the colour looks brighter for the first week or so, then settles into a soft, your-lips-but-better tint once it has healed.

From Clifton it's roughly 1.4 km: about a five-minute drive, a 20-minute walk up through the Whiteladies Road shops, or a short ride on the buses running along Whiteladies Road and Queens Road. If you're driving, there's residential parking on and around Chandos Road, though it's worth checking the signs for time limits. The Victoria Rooms and Clifton Down both sit on the natural route between Clifton and the studio, so a visit is easy to fit around shopping or a walk on The Downs.

Your first visit starts with a consultation, so we can agree the shape, colour and finish before anything begins. We numb the area for comfort, and most brow appointments run for around two to three hours from start to finish. Over the next four to six weeks the colour softens and the skin settles, which is why we plan a top-up once it has healed.
