Lash Lift in Bristol — Your Own Lashes, Curled for 6–8 Weeks
From £45 · approx. 45 min

A lash lift curls your natural lashes upward for 6–8 weeks. No extensions, no daily curler, no mascara needed (though you can wear it after 24 hours). The lifted lashes open the eye on their own, and maintenance is basically zero.
This page is for lift-only. If your lashes are pale and you want both curl and darker colour, go to lash lift + tint.
How it works
The chemistry is a keratin treatment for lashes — disulphide bonds open, the lash sits on a silicone shield and sets in a new curve, then the bonds lock back in place.
Here's the sequence:
- Cleansing. Remove mascara, eyeshadow, oil.
- Silicone shield. Place at the lash root. Shields come in three sizes; size is based on your lash length and eye shape.
- Adhesion. Comb each lash onto the shield's curve. This step sets the final shape.
- Lifting lotion. Thioglycolate applied to open the bonds. Around 10–12 minutes processing.
- Setting lotion. Re-lock the bonds in the lifted direction.
- Conditioning serum. Rehydrate after the chemical process.
Active treatment on the eye is about 25–30 minutes. Total appointment time (setup, cleansing, conditioning): 45 minutes.
When lift-only makes sense
Naturally dark lashes. If your lashes are already deep brown or black, tint won't add visible colour. The lift is the visual upgrade. Saving £10 by skipping tint is sensible.
Tint sensitivity. Some clients react to PPD or other tint components (same reaction as hair dye). If that's you, lift-only skips that chemistry entirely.
If your lashes are pale (blonde, light brown, ginger), tint adds real impact and the £55 bundle is better value. See lash lift + tint.
What you'll see
The curl works like a really good eyelash curler, but it lasts 6–8 weeks instead of a few hours, sits uniform across all lashes (not just mid-length), and lifts at the root — which creates an actual "opened eye" effect that a curler doesn't quite manage.
Most clients stop wearing mascara in daily life. Some still use it for evenings or photos; that's fine. Apply mascara from 24 hours onwards.
Aftercare
- No water on the lashes for 24 hours. Showers are fine; keep the eye area dry. No swimming, steam, crying, or splashing water directly at the lash line.
- No mascara for 24 hours. Fine from day 2.
- Water-based cleanser only. Oil-based makeup remover breaks down the set faster.
- No retinol or active products on the lash line for 48 hours.
- From day 3: your normal routine.
Skipping aftercare in the first 24 hours can flatten the lift within a week. Follow it and the lift holds better.
When to rebook
Six to eight weeks is typical. Don't come back earlier than 6 weeks — new growth needs time to mature before lifting. Wait past 8 weeks and the lift becomes uneven as lashes shed and new hair grows in.
Between full lifts, a tint-only refresh takes 15 minutes and keeps colour consistent.

Frequently asked
Two main reasons. Your natural lashes are already dark enough that tint doesn't add visible colour — common for clients with very dark hair. Or you want the lifted effect on its own and skip tint because of a sensitivity or allergy. If neither applies, [lash lift + tint](/services/lash-lift-tint-bristol) gives more visual return at £55.
