How long does a lash lift and tint last?

A lash lift typically lasts 6-8 weeks, while the tint usually fades at 4-6 weeks. The combined look changes in stages, so the lift and colour do not need to be refreshed on the same day.

How long does a lash lift last? A lash lift typically lasts 6-8 weeks, while the tint usually fades at 4-6 weeks. The combined look changes in stages as the lift grows out with your natural lash cycle. Nata Beauty's lash lift and tint costs £51 for 55 minutes. You can also book a lift-only appointment for £42 and 40 minutes.

The short answer: 6-8 weeks for the lift, 4-6 for the tint

The lift is the longer-lasting part of the treatment. It changes the shape of the natural lashes present at the appointment, so the curl remains as those lashes move through their cycle. It usually looks noticeably lifted for around 6-8 weeks.

The tint has a shorter visible life. Colour commonly starts to look softer between weeks 4 and 6, even though the lashes may still be curled. The combined effect can look darker and more defined at first, then closer to a lift-only result later in the cycle.

Why the lift and tint fade on different clocks

A lash lift changes the shape of existing lashes. Those lashes do not all shed together. Each one has its own growth cycle, so treated lashes gradually leave the lash line and are replaced by new lashes that were not part of the appointment.

Tint behaves differently because its visible colour usually fades at weeks 4-6. It is normal for the tint to soften while some of the lift remains, so the combined look changes in stages rather than ending all at once.

This is why a lash lift does not usually end with one sudden drop. As treated lashes grow out, new lashes appear without the same lift, and the overall effect gradually looks more relaxed.

What changes how long your result lasts

Your natural lash cycle is the main factor. The lift cannot keep a lash curled after that lash has shed, so the result will not look identical from week one to week eight. The tint is more affected by how you cleanse and handle the eye area.

  • The natural lash cycle determines how the lift grows out over 6-8 weeks.
  • The tint usually fades visibly at weeks 4-6, before the lift has fully grown out.
  • Follow the written aftercare supplied at your appointment, particularly if your lashes or the skin around your eyes need extra care.
  • Book only when the previous lift has grown out and your natural lashes are suitable for another treatment.

Aftercare supports the finished look, but it cannot extend the natural lash cycle or make a lift last indefinitely.

Lift-only or lift and tint?

A lift-only appointment is £42 for 40 minutes. It can suit clients with naturally dark lashes who want curl without added colour, or clients who should avoid tint because of a relevant allergy or sensitivity.

The combined lash lift and tint is £51 for 55 minutes. It combines the lift with a custom-mixed tint for clients who want lifted and darker lashes with less daily mascara.

The choice depends on the appearance you want and your suitability for tint. The lift lasts around 6-8 weeks in either service, while the tint normally needs to be refreshed sooner if you want the darker look to stay consistent.

When to rebook

Most clients wait until the previous lift has grown out, typically around 6-8 weeks. Rebooking too soon means some lashes may still be lifted while others are new, so the appointment should be timed around the condition of your natural lashes.

A lash lift is not a permanent makeup treatment, so there is no 6-8 week perfecting session. That term applies to the included second visit after an initial PMU treatment. For lashes, arrange the next lift when the curl has softened and enough new growth is present.

Frequently asked

Suitability and a correctly controlled process matter, so a lash lift should not be described as damage-free for everyone. Nata Beauty excludes clients with damaged natural lashes and advises against booking with active eye conditions, recent eye surgery, relevant allergies or extensions in place. Ask about suitability before booking if any of those points apply to you.
