Lash Enhancement in Bristol — Denser Lashes, No Eyeliner
From £330 · approx. 1 hr 45 min

Lash enhancement is the most subtle PMU service in the studio. It's a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo: pigment deposited between the lashes only, at the lash root, in the space between each lash. The result is lashes that look denser and darker at the base. And it looks nothing like makeup.
If you searched lash enhancement Bristol, invisible eyeliner Bristol, or lash line tattoo Bristol and the eyeliner tattoo pages look too bold — this is the page you want.
What it is and isn't
Lash enhancement's defining quality is what it doesn't do: there's no visible line. Pigment goes only into the gaps between lashes at the root, never above the lash line.
It looks like:
- A naturally darker lash root that makes lashes denser
- A subtle "open eye" effect from the contrast at the base
- Dark mascara on bare lashes (not clumpy mascara)
It isn't:
- An eyeliner line
- A defined edge
- A visible "look" — most people notice your eyes look more rested, not what changed
That's the point.
When lash enhancement is the right choice
Three scenarios favour this service:
- You don't wear eyeliner. If your makeup routine is mascara only, eyeliner tattoo will look like more makeup than you normally wear. Lash enhancement matches your existing style.
- You want PMU but no one should notice. Lash enhancement is the most invisible PMU available; even brow PMU draws more eye-area attention.
- You're testing commitment. Lash enhancement is lowest-stakes PMU — no visible line to regret, no shape locked in for 2–3 years. Want more later? Add eyeliner tattoo then.
Want a visible defined liner? Book eyeliner tattoo instead. They're not interchangeable.
The appointment
Technically simpler than eyeliner tattoo (no shape decision), but equally precise. A single needle deposits pigment one stipple at a time between lash roots — never crossing over a lash, only between them.
Consultation (10 min). Eye anatomy assessed, lash density evaluated, look target agreed.
Numbing (25 min). Topical anaesthetic on lash line, reapplied mid-session.
First pass (30 min). Pigment between lashes across both eyes, outer corner inward.
Second pass (15 min). Build density where lashes are sparse. The outer third typically gets slightly more because the lash line naturally thins there.
Aftercare brief (5 min). Written instructions: keep dry for 48 hours, no mascara for 14 days, no lash extensions for 14 days.
Total: 90–105 minutes.
Healing
This heals fastest of all PMU services because the treated area is smallest — dozens of stipples, not a continuous line.
| Day | What you'll see |
|---|---|
| 0–1 | Lash base 30–40% darker than healed, slight swelling possible |
| 2–4 | Swelling resolves; no scabbing (area is tiny) |
| 4–10 | Mild "ghosting" as pigment settles |
| 10–28 | Densified base emerges |
| 42–56 | Perfecting session — any sparse spots filled |
The perfecting session at 6–8 weeks checks retention and touches in any spots where pigment didn't take cleanly. After that, the result holds 2–3 years.
Lash enhancement vs lash lift + tint — the other "subtle" lash option
A lot of clients searching for lash enhancement actually want lash lift + tint instead — a non-permanent treatment that curls the lashes upward and dyes them darker. The two services are easy to confuse but solve different problems:
| Lash Enhancement | Lash Lift + Tint | |
|---|---|---|
| What it changes | Lash base density (visual) | Lash curl + colour |
| Permanent? | Semi-permanent (2–3 years) | 6–8 weeks |
| Visible effect | Denser-looking lash base | Lifted, curled, darker lashes |
| Best for | Pale lash base | Straight or downward-pointing lashes |
| Cost | £330 first-time | from £55 |
| Healing | 14 days | None |
Many clients book lash lift + tint first as a low-commitment lash treatment and add lash enhancement later for permanent density. They're complementary — not alternatives.

Frequently asked
Lash enhancement is deliberately designed to be invisible as a line. The pigment is deposited between the lashes only — no line above the lashes, no line below. The visible effect is that your lashes look denser at the root and your eyes look slightly more defined, but nothing about it reads as 'eyeliner'. Most clients report that friends notice their eyes look better but can't point to why.
